Kellygreen Home’s mission is to help our customers consume with a conscience when it comes to functional goods for the home, family, and even pets. We want to make it as easy as possible to shop and feel comfortable knowing that each product has been carefully researched and comes from companies that are committed to sustainable practices, use environmentally friendly materials, and that the labor force is protected and fair-trade practices are being adhered to.
Owner Kelly Van Patter, a Production Designer, Interior Designer and life-long environmentalist, found that when it came to doing design jobs, she couldn’t find a place that had interesting and eco-friendly items for the home under one roof, so she opened Kellygreen Home in the Silverlake area of Los Angeles with hopes that there were many others like her that into the green movement with a high design aesthetic. The High Design | Low Impact tagline became the inspiration and prerequisite for each item procured.
We love to share and engage with each customer and hope to make your shopping a unique learning experience that proves it’s easier than you think to live a low-impact lifestyle and still be very stylish. Our goal is to follow a Cradle-to-Cradle philosophy which means products have another life after you use them. This includes items that are recycled & recyclable, from easily renewable resources or managed forests (FSC), and can easily be disassembled or parted for a new purpose. We also love to feature productsthat are from cooperatives or from programs that help people to help themselves all over the world. We try to feature locally manufactured items from Los Angeles, California and the United States, but some items are only available from overseas, so we try to find the best products that fit our prerequisites.

Kelly Van Patter is a Los Angeles-based designer who has been focusing her design efforts on sustainable , environmentally-friendly design for both residential and commercial projects. Kelly's design work has been featured on several television shows: "Greenovate" and "AlterEco". Other projects include: Martha Stewart's KB Home developments and real living spaces for several reality television shows. Kelly's experience as a Production Designer has allowed her to showcase a wide range of design sensibilities which she uses to create personalized, healthy, non-toxic and functional interiors that reflect each client's taste. Her team can help achieve Green Building Certifications that best fit each job on remodels or new construction.
